Boondoggle

One blogger’s personal bridge to nowhere

Covering the “issues”

Apparently, The Washington Post should have been miming the McCain campaign’s tactics of distraction.  Oi vey.

But Obama deserved tougher scrutiny than he got, especially of his undergraduate years, his start in Chicago and his relationship with Antoin “Tony” Rezko, who was convicted this year of influence-peddling in Chicago. The Post did nothing on Obama’s acknowledged drug use as a teenager.

Again, I’m left to wonder, what’s the point of an ombudsman taking the paper to task for not covering “the issues” more when these issues should include guilt-by-association smearing and frenzied panicking about having tried “a little blow?”  Oh yeah — to sell more papers.
